MORE INFO HERE *_* Windows 7 32-Bit vs Windows 7 ARC Gamer edition. The reason why windows 7 32 bit got a 4.8 for the HDD score is because its installed on a old IDE hadrdrive and the ARC gamer got a 5.9 is because its installed on a SATA II Hard drive. I ran rendering testfor the 2 OSs on MAXON: CINEBENCH 11.5 but it would have too soo long to render. With those clips:( When i was done and ready to render it Sony Vegas Pro 10 said it would take seconds to render.

When i saw that time i was like. O hell naw -_- My current system OS: Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1 Processor: AMD Athlon II x3 445 3.10 GHz Memory (RAM): 2048 MB(2 GB) 667 DDR2 Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce 9500GT (512 MB) Hard Drive: Western Digital 500GB SATA II My processor is capable of unlocking to a QUAD CORE so i said i need a quad core to render this video so i went into my BIOS and unlocked my AMD Phenom II X4 B45 3.10 GHz. The video that was going to take 1 hour to render now was gonna take seconds.

So it seems one extra core does make a difference:) I LOVE YOU AMD!!!

@ Yeah that was what I was thinking for people who don't currently own a version of Windows. Like I said above I own 8.1 and after the switch from 7 and downloading Classic Shell and doing some tweaks of my own am a happy camper. Windows 8.1 for me is nice even with Metro because I sometimes play Asphalt 8. Do you think these 'Gamer Editions' Have any gained performance over normal versions of the same Operating System? If Microsoft knew how to make a modified better DX11 they would have done it already.

Without even bothering to look up supposed proof that Windows 7 Gaming Edition is better than Windows 7 for gaming, I doubt it actually improves anything, or anything noticeable.

Personally I actually like the Start Menu. It fits SO many more programs than the Windows 7 Start Menu. Windows 8.1 has an all around better kernel. No matter what Windows 7 version you download (even hacked up ones) it will never be as fast as Windows 8.1. People like to strip operating systems of services and other processes that aren't essential to gaming.

They get the impression that if its better on resources then its ultimately faster for gaming. Which is complete and utter ignorance. Gaming editions of Windows usually tend to work best on old machines that can barely run Windows as is. You can make your own version just by looking up each process that Windows 8.1 has running that's not critical to networking or stability of the system and killing it. This is essentially how GameBooster also works (another gimmick). An OS is a critical software, without it, your system is as useful as a door stop.
